International
Pools:
Twelve teams will be divided into three pools of four teams each.
Round Robin:
Teams will play each of the other teams within their pool. After round
robin play is completed, teams will be seeded within their pool based
upon point standings (and tie-breakers if necessary).
Position Round:
After conclusion of the round robin, each team will play a team from
one of the other two pools. The first seeded team from pools A, B,
and C will play the fourth seeded team from pools B, C, and A respectively.
The second seeded team from pools A, B and C will play the third seeded
team from pools B, C and A respectively.
After completion of the position round, all teams will be re-seeded
(1st through 12th) based upon total points for all games played (and
tie-breakers if necessary). Teams 1st to 8th will go for the Brewerkz
Cup (1st to 4th) and the Maple Leaf Cup (5th-8th). Teams finishing
in 9th-12th will play for the Golden Shovel Cup.
Playoff Round: The top four teams after the re-seeding will
play in the semi-finals. Semi-final games will match 1st vs 4th and
2nd vs 3rd to earn the change to play in the Brewerkz Cup Championship
game, while 5th vs 8th and 6th vs 7th will play for the Maple Leaf
Cup consolation game. Teams 9th vs 12th and 10th vs 11th will play
semi-finals for the Golden Shovel.
All teams are guaranteed 5 games with 6 teams playing 6 games.
